At the Moody Cow our menu changes on a daily basis, and we cook using only the best quality, fresh, most local ingredients available. All of our dishes are cooked freshly to order, and we make all of our own chutney, marmalade, dips, and sauces from scratch.
Some dishes can also be prepared in smaller portions which work well for those that appreciate home cooking but have a smaller appetite, and these range in price from £8.95 to £10.95.
Lunch service starts at 12.00pm, last orders for food are taken at 2.00pm, and we close at 3.00pm.
The menu features meals in line with seasonal ingredients to ensure the freshest and most flavourful dining experience.

Dinner is served from Wednesday - Saturday from 6.30pm to 9.00pm.
Preparing our dishes in small quantities and ensuring fresh deliveries of fish, meat, game, fruit and vegetables every day means that we have earned a reputation for quality and consistency.
As with lunch, our dinner menu changes daily and in line with the seasons to ensure the best quality meals. Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any specific dietary requirements.
- Sunday lunch -
Sunday Lunch at the Moody Cow is made from scratch using only the best, locally sourced ingredients.
We use Herefordshire rare breed longhorn beef, prime loin of pork, and Welsh lamb, all with seasonal veg and homemade sauces and gravy made with homemade stock.
If you don't eat meat we always have a fantastic vegetarian dish, often a rich three cheese tart made with Shropshire Blue, Monkland, and Little Hereford cheese, or butternut squash and wild mushroom roulade. We also make a rich and moist nut roast packed with fresh brazil nuts, cashew nuts and herbs, with vegetarian gravy.
It is always best to ask us what we are preparing when you call to reserve your table if you, or one of your guests have any specific dietry requirements.
All our puddings are homemade and include favourites like sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream, apple crumble and vanilla custard sauce, and creme brulee served with a homemade shortbread biscuit.
You can decide if you would like to enjoy one, two or three courses, and each dish is priced individually.
We take orders from 12.00pm until 3.00pm, and we don't want you to feel rushed so we limit bookings to ensure that the table is yours for as long as you want it.
We recommend reserving a table for Sunday lunch, as it is a very popular time for us.

Our drinks menu features a little something for everyone, from both local and old and new world wines, to continental lagers and locally brewed cider and ale. We also have an extensive selection of soft drinks, as well as both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, and freshly brewed coffee and speciality teas.
